Daytime sun protection is recommended while using IDEE DERM Anti-Acne Cream, because salicylic acid can increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight. If you apply the cream in the morning, follow with a broad-spectrum SPF as the final skincare step before makeup. Even if you prefer using it in the evening, sunscreen during the day is still a sensible habit when exfoliating acids are part of your routine.
Be careful when combining this cream with other strong active products. Using several acids, peeling products or retinoids at the same time may be too much for the skin barrier, particularly around the nose, mouth and chin where dryness often appears first. If you already use a retinoid or another exfoliant, alternate days or simplify the routine until you know how your skin reacts.
Avoid applying the cream to broken skin, freshly picked blemishes or the eye area. Mild temporary dryness can happen with exfoliating products, but persistent redness, stinging, peeling or discomfort is a sign to reduce frequency or stop for a while. If you are unsure because you use prescription acne products or have a diagnosed skin condition, ask a dermatologist or pharmacist how to combine them safely.
