Himalaya Cystone is a herbal food supplement of Ayurvedic origin, most often chosen by adults who have already experienced stone formation in the kidneys or bladder, as well as by those recovering after stone removal procedures who want to reduce the risk of stones coming back.
The formula works on several levels at once: the plant ingredients help create conditions that are less favourable for salt crystallisation, promote the removal of small particles with the flow of urine and help the mucous membrane tolerate irritation more easily. The effect on mucin is mentioned separately: mucin is the protein base that can bind particles together and contribute to the formation of denser deposits.
Among the key plants in the formula are gokshura, traditionally valued for its diuretic action and its ability to create an environment less favourable for salt build-up, and saxifrage (Saxifraga ligulata), used in Ayurvedic practice for the urinary tract with a similar profile of use.
It is important to understand that this is not a fast-acting product. Cystone is regarded as a product to be taken as a course, fitting into a broader approach alongside adequate fluid intake and a doctor's recommendations. It does not replace treatment and is not intended to diagnose or treat disease. With acute symptoms, such as pain, fever or blood in the urine, an in-person consultation with a specialist is essential.
