What does it contain and why is there inulin?

The product is based on artichoke extract with cynarin, a natural compound which, together with flavonoids and phenolic acids, promotes bile secretion. This matters above all when digesting fatty food: bile emulsifies fats, making them available to enzymes. That is why artichoke-based supplements are traditionally chosen for a feeling of heaviness after a heavy meal.

The antioxidant compounds in the composition help cells cope with oxidative stress, which increases with an unbalanced diet, overeating or a general overload of the body.

Inulin is a soluble plant fibre and prebiotic; according to the product description it is contained in the artichoke extract (it is not listed as a separate line in the ingredients). It is not digested itself, but serves as a nutrient medium for beneficial gut bacteria. Its presence makes the product not just a choleretic but also one that supports the microbiota, which is relevant with irregular eating or after periods of dietary stress.

The liquid form in ampoules ensures quick absorption of the active components compared with tablets or capsules, which is the standard advantage of liquid extracts in herbal medicine.

Besides the extract, the composition includes water, the thickener sorbitol, the preservative potassium sorbate, peach flavouring, the acidity regulator citric acid and the sweetener sucralose. The supplement is a food product, not a medicine: it is not intended to treat or prevent diseases and does not replace a balanced diet.
