What is purified mumijo, and how does it differ from the ordinary kind?

Mumijo (shilajit) is a natural complex of organic and mineral compounds that forms in rocks as a result of long natural processes. It is based on humic acids and associated substances, which are valued precisely for their complex rather than ‘single-ingredient’ composition.

Raw mumijo contains impurities: rock particles, plant residues and micro-organisms. Purification produces a more uniform and stable product — free of foreign inclusions, with a predictable appearance and solubility. For a food supplement taken orally, this is essential: you know exactly what you are getting.

ALTEJA Altai mumio puhastatud is 100% purified mumijo with no added ingredients. No fillers, binders or flavourings. It comes as a soluble powder, which suits those who prefer the classic way of taking it rather than capsules or tablets.

It is important to understand that purification improves the quality of the product but does not turn it into a medicine. Mumijo is a food supplement, and its role is to complement the diet, not to replace proper nutrition or medical treatment.
