How does ZDOROVJE ZIP Kohvijook differ from ordinary coffee and chicory?

ZDOROVJE ZIP Kohvijook is a drink based on roasted barley and rye grains. Unlike coffee, it contains no caffeine: there is no stimulating effect, so it can be drunk at any time of day — in the morning, at lunchtime or in the evening. Unlike chicory, it is based on cereal grains rather than a plant root, which gives it a different flavour profile: fuller and bready, with light caramel and roasted notes.

The flavour develops precisely during roasting — the grain acquires a warm aroma that evokes coffee in mood, although in composition it is a fundamentally different product. There is none of the bitterness typical of coffee. The drink goes well with milk or plant-based alternatives: they soften the flavour and bring it closer to familiar coffee combinations.

Please note: it contains cereals with gluten, so this product is not suitable for people with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance. In addition, the drink may contain traces of nuts, soy or sesame — this is important to bear in mind if you are allergic to them.
