How does shilajit powder differ from capsules, and how should it be dissolved?

The main advantage of the powder form is that the dose can be adjusted more precisely than with capsules of a fixed size. This is especially relevant if you are just getting to know the product and want to start with a small amount.

Warm water or another warm drink is suitable for dissolving it. Stir the powder until it has completely dissolved; if necessary, leave it to stand for a minute or two.

Shilajit has a characteristic earthy, slightly bitter taste. In plain warm water it is more noticeable; in herbal tea or a drink with a mild flavour it is less so. Mixing it with cold drinks is not recommended — the powder dissolves much less well in them.

It is best taken in the first half of the day, as the product is traditionally chosen to support vitality during periods of heavy demands rather than as an evening supplement. For adults, 200–500 mg once a day is recommended.
