How do the rounded and cone-shaped elements of the massager differ, and how do you choose which side to use?

Lyapko Faraon Plastmassöör has four working surfaces with different elements — from soft balls and large hemispheres to rounded and sharp cones — which produce noticeably different sensations.

Rounded elements create a softer, more diffuse contact with the skin. They are convenient to use at the start of a session, when the muscles are not yet warmed up, or on more sensitive areas. This kind of action helps prepare the tissues gradually for more intensive work.

Cone-shaped elements concentrate pressure on a smaller area, giving a sensation of deeper work. They are more often chosen for dense muscle groups — the buttocks, thighs, shoulder girdle and back — where you want to reach the deeper layers of tissue.

In practice, it is convenient to start a session with the rounded side, warming up the area, and then move on to the cone-shaped side for more targeted action. The “crown” at the top extends the options for acupressure — it can be used on small areas with pronounced tension.

The intensity of pressure matters more than the choice of side: start with light pressure and increase it gradually, guided by how it feels. If you feel sharp pain or discomfort, reduce the pressure or move to another area.
