How does powder differ from nappy cream, and when should you choose powder? — Baby Powder Sensitive, 50 g – Karapuz

KARAPUZ Beebipuuder powder works by absorbing excess moisture (corn starch) and reducing friction (talc). It is chosen when the main goal is to keep the skin dry and reduce discomfort from friction, especially in hot weather or when the baby is very active.

Nappy cream usually forms a protective film on the skin that prevents contact with moisture from outside. These two products have different functions, so they are usually not applied to the same area at the same time: a layer of cream can reduce the absorbency of the powder.

The powder is convenient to use after bathing or when changing a nappy, in situations where the skin is dry and there is no active irritation. If the skin is already badly irritated or weeping, this is a reason to see a paediatrician rather than to apply more products.
