How does the Miramistin in this spray differ from ordinary breath fresheners?

Most breath fresheners work mainly through aromatic components: they mask odour but do not affect its source. Farmakom Inhalipts spray works differently: it is based on Miramistin (myristamidopropalkonium chloride), a component with pronounced hygienic properties. It helps reduce the number of unwanted microorganisms directly on the surface of the mucous membranes, rather than simply covering up the odour.

The aromatic components in the formula — mint and eucalyptus essential oils, as well as thymol — complement this action: they give a feeling of freshness and coolness that lasts after use. Glycerin meanwhile softens the mucous membranes and retains moisture, which is especially noticeable when they are dry — for example, during the heating season or in air-conditioned rooms.

The spray thus combines the hygienic action of Miramistin, moisturising from glycerin and the refreshing effect of essential oils — unlike most ordinary fresheners, which offer only the last of these.
