How do oil-based drops differ from ordinary saline or water-based nasal products?

Water-based and saline nasal products moisturise the mucosa with liquid and help to clean the nasal passages mechanically. Oil-based drops such as FARMAKOM Ninatilgad Eliitne work differently: they form a thin protective layer on the surface of the mucosa, reducing friction and the feeling of tightness and dryness — not by adding water but by softening the surface.

This product contains several plant oils — olive oil, wheat germ oil and peach or apricot oil. Each of them gently coats the mucosa and helps it cope more easily with unfavourable external factors: dry air in heated rooms, wind, cold and frequent cleaning of the nose.

The oil-based format is particularly appropriate when the mucosa is irritated or dried out, rather than when you need to rinse or clean your nose.
