How do pumpkin seed oil capsules differ from ordinary liquid oil?

The composition of the capsules and of liquid pumpkin seed oil is essentially the same: polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E. The difference lies in the way it is taken.

Liquid oil has to be measured out, kept in the fridge after opening and used fairly quickly so that it does not go rancid. Capsules are easier to dose, do not require a spoon or measuring cup and have no pronounced taste or smell — which matters for those who do not like an oily aftertaste in food or drinks.

Another practical advantage of capsules is that they are easy to take with you: there is no need to pour the oil into a separate container and worry about leaks. For people who often eat away from home or travel, this can be the deciding argument in favour of the capsule form.

At the same time, the capsules are a food supplement, not a substitute for a varied diet. If seeds, nuts and other sources of plant fats regularly feature on your menu, it is worth discussing additional intake of the oil in any form with a specialist.
