How does this protein differ from whey, and who does it suit? — ICONFIT Plant Protein (480g) 1

ICONFIT Plant Protein is a plant-based alternative to whey blends. The main difference: the composition contains no milk protein or lactose, so the product suits people following a vegan diet or wanting to reduce their consumption of animal-derived products.

Plant proteins have a particular feature: the amino acid profile of a single source is usually less complete compared with whey protein. In this product, BCAAs — branched-chain amino acids that the body uses to build protein structures, including muscle — have been added to the plant protein. This makes the blend more balanced in terms of amino acid composition.

The composition also includes vitamin B6, which is involved in amino acid metabolism and helps the body absorb protein from food. Inulin from chicory root is also added — a prebiotic fibre that serves as a food source for beneficial gut bacteria.

The product is convenient after training, on days of increased physical exertion, or when the usual diet does not cover the required amount of protein. It does not replace a varied diet.
