How does this tea differ from ordinary chamomile tea?

Classic chamomile tea is usually a single-ingredient infusion with a mild floral taste and minimal spiciness. YOGI TEA Bedtime is made differently: chamomile is included on an equal footing with lemon balm, valerian, lavender, fennel, peppermint, cardamom, sage, lemongrass and nutmeg.

This fundamentally changes the flavour profile. Fennel provides a rounded, slightly sweet base that softens the herbal bitterness. Mint and lemongrass add freshness. Cardamom and nutmeg bring a warm, spicy note. Lavender and sage contribute their distinctive aroma. The result is a layered drink that comes across more as a spiced evening blend than a simple herbal infusion.

In terms of composition, the difference is also significant: single-ingredient chamomile tea contains no valerian, one of the key "evening" ingredients of this blend. It is the combination of several herbs with different taste and aromatic characteristics that makes Bedtime a product in its own right rather than a variation on chamomile.

If you are used to the neutral taste of chamomile tea and are not sure whether you will like the spicy profile, it makes sense to start with one cup to judge the taste before buying a large pack.
