How does this balm differ from ordinary herbal syrups, and why does it contain fructose instead of sugar? — Phytobalm on Fructose "Bronho Plus", 100 ml – Altai Nektar
There are two main differences: the sweetener and the presence of additional nutrients.
Fructose instead of sugar. The sweetener used here is fructose, not sucrose. This suits people who avoid ordinary sugar by choice or on the advice of a specialist. Fructose is still a carbohydrate and provides calories, so people with carbohydrate metabolism disorders should check with a doctor whether it is suitable for them.
Vitamin C and rutin. Many herbal syrups contain only plant extracts. Here they are combined with vitamin C, which takes part in the work of the immune system and protects cells from oxidative stress, and rutin, a plant flavonoid traditionally combined with ascorbic acid in one formula. This combination is typical of products aimed at the cold season.
Plant base. The formula contains plantain, lungwort, rosehip, raspberry, blackcurrant, juniper and nettle. This is a fairly broad set of herbs and berries, which gives the taste depth and provides variety of plant ingredients in one serving.
The balm is a food supplement, not a medicine, and is not intended to treat or prevent disease. If you take medicines or have chronic conditions, consult a specialist before starting to use it.
