Many warming balms are built on one or two active ingredients, for example just pepper extract or menthol. This balm combines several groups of substances, each of which adds its own accent.
The warming effect comes primarily from bee venom and fly agaric extract, both of which are traditionally used in external products precisely for their ability to create a sensation of warmth and improve microcirculation in the area of application. This makes massage gentler and helps work the tense area more thoroughly.
The formula also includes chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine HCl, ingredients well known from joint products. In cosmetic form, they are added to balms aimed at areas that feel stiff and tense: the knees, elbows and back.
The plant-based part of the formula (marsh cinquefoil, comfrey and golden callisia) has long been used in balms for muscles and joints. Mumijo complements the formula, making it richer still.
As a result, the balm is suitable not only for warming up quickly after exposure to cold or exertion, but also for regular massage of areas where tension often builds up. This sets it apart from simple warming products with a minimal composition.
