The main difference is the form and the method of application. A solid bar lets you apply the product precisely to the stain without wasting it on clean areas of fabric. Liquid stain removers are more often applied with a dispenser or sponge and can spread wider than necessary.
In terms of composition, the soap is based on fatty acid salts of palm and coconut oils — a classic soap base that works by forming lather and mechanically separating dirt from the fibres. The composition also includes sodium perborate — an oxygen bleaching component — and sodium tripolyphosphate. Many liquid stain removers contain enzymes, optical brighteners or solvents, which work differently and may be more effective on specific types of dirt (for example, protein or pigment stains).
The soap contains no chlorine, so it has no harsh smell and does not discolour fabric the way chlorine-based products do. This makes it a suitable option for coloured textiles and everyday use at home.
In practice, the soap is handy to keep next to the washing machine or in the bathroom for quick treatment of fresh stains — it is compact, does not spill and needs no dispenser. Liquid products may be preferable for difficult or old stains that require harsher chemicals.
