A fresh apple combines water, sugars, vitamins, organic acids and fibre in one food. SIBIRSKAJA KLETCHATKA Kiudained ÕUN is a concentrated source of plant fibres with an apple component that adds a familiar taste and plant substances naturally present in the raw material.
The main difference lies in the concentration of fibre. One serving of the fibre product contains considerably more of it than an average apple, while it does not contain the amount of sugar and water found in the fresh fruit. This makes it a convenient way to increase the share of dietary fibre in your diet without significantly changing the calorie content or make-up of your meals.
Fresh fruit and vegetables cannot be replaced, however: they provide vitamins, minerals and other compounds that are absent from a fibre concentrate or present in much smaller amounts. Powdered fibre is an addition to the diet, not a replacement for it.
The apple component here serves taste and function rather than anything else: it makes the product more pleasant to eat and complements the blend with plant substances from the original raw material. This is convenient for those who add fibre to neutral-tasting dishes — porridge or yoghurt — and want a light fruity note without having to add sugar or flavourings separately.
