Most familiar toothpastes are built on one or two mint flavourings and give a predictable cooling effect. DABUR Red Paste works differently: it is based on a combination of plant extracts, each of which contributes to the overall sensation.
Clove gives a slightly warming and at the same time refreshing sensation — typical of Ayurvedic oral care products.
Mint is present but does not dominate: your breath still feels fresh, but the overall flavour profile is noticeably spicy rather than simply “cold”.
Thyme adds a cleansing note and makes the flavour more herbal and earthy.
As a result, brushing your teeth feels different: richer, with a pronounced spicy aftertaste. This is not a drawback — many people like exactly this profile, especially in the morning. But if you are used to the neutral or sweetish taste of ordinary toothpastes, the first use may seem unusually intense.
The paste fits well into a routine that alternates it with classic products: for example, Red Paste in the morning for a bold start to the day and your usual toothpaste in the evening. This approach lets you get used to the sensation without an abrupt switch.
