How does bischofite differ from ordinary sea salt and why are there silver ions in the composition? — Bishofite with silver ions salt of the ancient sea, 500 g "AromaSaules"

Ordinary sea salt consists mainly of sodium chloride with a small amount of trace elements. According to the label, bischofite is a natural mineral containing a chloride-magnesium-sodium complex and mineral substances, including iodine, bromine and iron; it is also called ancient sea salt.

The composition (INCI) lists only two components: ancient sea salt (natural bischofite) and silver nitrate. Why silver has been added is not stated on the label, and the manufacturer does not claim any antimicrobial or therapeutic properties. There are, however, warnings: avoid an overdose of silver ions and do not use the product at the same time as preparations containing silver.

The product is intended for external use — in the form of general warm baths, local baths and compresses — and is not a medicinal product.
