Cetrimonium chloride and guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride are cationic conditioning agents that deposit a light, positively charged coating on the hair. Since hair fibers develop a negative charge when dry or rubbed (like during brushing or from friction with fabrics), these agents help neutralize that charge, reducing static electricity that causes flyaways and frizz. This effect is often most noticeable in dry, low-humidity environments. For thick, coarse, or porous hair that can be particularly prone to frizz, the formula also includes hazelnut seed oil and cetearyl alcohol to soften the hair shaft and improve smoothness, which helps individual strands align better. It will not permanently alter your hair's texture, but used regularly as part of your wash routine, it can make hair more manageable and less prone to static-induced frizz throughout the day.
