This product is specifically formulated for normal and dry skin. The texture is described as a balance between emollients and water-binding ingredients, with the goal of refreshing dry-prone skin without feeling overly heavy. That means it is likely to feel more comfortable on normal to dry skin than on skin that produces a lot of oil.
If your skin is oily or combination, you can still test it, but do not expect it to control oil or reduce shine. Coconut oil works by forming a light protective layer on the surface and slowing moisture loss; on an already oily face, that layer may feel greasy or look shiny. If you want to try it, apply a small amount only to the dry parts of your face, such as the cheeks, and avoid the T-zone. Evening use is often easier to test than morning use, because you can see how your skin feels overnight and in the morning.
Start with a patch test on a small area of your jaw or neck before using it on the whole face. This is especially important because the formula contains perfume, which can be irritating for reactive skin. If the cream feels uncomfortably heavy or your skin responds with spots or congestion, stop using it; it is not designed for oily skin and there is no need to force it into your routine.
For a very oily or blemish-prone skin type, a different lightweight gel or water-based moisturiser may be a better match, but this is a personal choice based on how your skin reacts.
