Can I wear the pendant every day, and when should I take it off?

The pendant is designed for regular wear and fits easily into everyday life. It is small and quiet in appearance, so it works with office clothes, knitwear, and casual outfits, and many people simply put it on in the morning and forget about it. However, mindful wear is the right approach, and that means adapting to the situation rather than wearing the stone around the clock.

In the shower, the main concerns are the thread and the carbon surface. Constant moisture weakens the cord over time, and a wet stone transfers dark marks more easily onto skin and towels. It is therefore better to take the pendant off before showering. If it does get wet, let it dry naturally on a towel before wearing it again. While sleeping, the decision is mostly a matter of comfort and habit; the tumbled form is smooth, so the stone is unlikely to be uncomfortable, but the thread can stretch or catch on fabric during the night.

During sports or physical work, the same logic applies. The stone is not easily broken in everyday wear, but a swinging pendant can knock against hard surfaces, and a thread that catches on equipment can break. If your activity involves a lot of movement, contact, or sweat, it is sensible to remove the pendant and store it safely until the session is over. Sweat itself does not harm shungite, but it makes the surface moist and more likely to leave dark marks on clothing.

In short, daily wear is fine. The stone itself needs little protection; the thread, the clothing around it, and the surfaces it may knock into are what deserve attention.
