FRIEND is best suited for white fabrics and frequently soiled textiles, but it can also be used on many other fabric types. The product guidance says to test it first on an inconspicuous area, especially on dark, very delicate, or special-finish fabrics. That is because the soap is alkaline, and alkaline cleaners can affect some dyes or surface finishes. A quick test on an inner seam or hem will show whether the colour stays stable.
For dark or very delicate clothes, do not assume the soap is safe just because it is a bar. Apply a little foam to a hidden area, wait a few minutes, and rinse. If the colour bleeds or the fabric looks damaged, do not use it on that item. For white items and everyday textiles, this type of soap is a common choice for removing visible stains.
The bar contains glycerin, which makes it feel less harsh on the hands than many traditional household soaps, but that does not mean it is safe for every fabric. Always check the care label first. If the label says dry-clean only, avoid water-based treatment. For sensitive skin, keep the foam contact short and rinse your hands after use.
