The product is labelled for both face and body, but salt-based scrubs are generally more abrasive than typical facial exfoliants. If you decide to use it on your face, you need to be extra careful. Use a very small amount, apply it to damp skin, and massage with the lightest possible pressure. Avoid the eye area and the skin around your lips, and do not scrub for more than a few seconds. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
For most people, a dedicated facial exfoliant with finer particles or a chemical exfoliant (like an AHA or BHA) is a gentler choice for the face. The skin on your face is thinner and more sensitive than the body, so a coarse salt scrub may cause micro-tears or irritation. If you have acne-prone, rosacea, or easily irritated skin, it is safer to use this scrub only on your body. If you do try it on your face, always patch-test first and stop if you notice redness or stinging.
