This oil is best suited to local care where the skin needs extra glide and a more occlusive, softening feel. Compared with a light lotion, an oil does not usually feel as airy or fast-drying, but it can leave the skin feeling more supple and less tight after application. That makes it suitable for small dry patches, rough elbows, hands exposed to frequent washing, and feet that regularly feel coarse.
If you already use a lotion or cream, you do not have to replace it. A practical approach is to use lotion on larger areas and reserve this oil for drier spots that need more comfort. You can also apply it after a water-based or lighter moisturising product if your skin tolerates layering, using only a small amount to reduce moisture loss from the surface.
For daytime use, consider how the texture fits your routine: oil may transfer to clothing, footwear or objects if too much is applied. For that reason, it often works better in small quantities or at times when you can let it settle into the skin.
