Can I use this cream together with acids, scrubs or other active skincare?

It is best not to combine this cream in the same evening session with acids or scrubs. Exfoliating acids and physical scrubs also affect the skin surface, and using them together with retinol can make dryness, stinging or flaking more likely. If you use exfoliating products, keep them for separate evenings and avoid applying them immediately before or after the retinol cream until you know your skin tolerates the routine well.

A simple evening routine works best with this product: cleanse the face, apply any mild hydrating product if you use one, then finish with the retinol cream. Try not to add several new active products at the same time, because it becomes difficult to tell what is causing irritation if your skin reacts. If your skin feels dry, focus on barrier-supporting, non-exfoliating moisturising steps on the nights when you are not using retinol.

In the morning, use sunscreen during the period you use this cream, because retinol increases sensitivity to UV light. If you already use prescription-strength retinoids or strong professional peeling products, ask a skincare professional before adding another retinol product.
