This cream is aimed at skin that feels dry, rough, tight or easily upset by washing, cold weather and household tasks. That makes it a plausible choice for everyday dryness and irritation, but it is a cosmetic product for care, comfort and hydration, not a product intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease. The formula contains plant extracts and an animal-derived active, pantogematogen from deer velvet antler. If your skin is very reactive or you already know you are sensitive to botanical extracts, it is sensible to take extra precautions.
Start with a patch test on a small area, for example the inside of the wrist or the forearm, and observe the area for about a day before using the cream on your whole hands. As with any cosmetic product, stop using it if irritation or an allergic reaction appears. If you have a diagnosed skin condition such as eczema or psoriasis, or the skin on your hands has broken cracks, consult a dermatologist or pharmacist before use. This product is not a substitute for medical care and should not be used as one.
If you avoid animal-derived ingredients entirely, remember that this cream is not suitable for vegans. For pregnant or breastfeeding women, people on medication or those managing a chronic condition, a quick consultation with a specialist is a reasonable step before introducing a new topical cosmetic with botanical and animal-derived extracts. Otherwise, the main guideline is to listen to your skin: adjust the amount or frequency if you notice any discomfort, and stop use if your skin reacts.
