This cream is formulated for both face and body. The cocoa butter base melts near skin temperature, so it spreads easily without dragging, but it leaves a more substantial, cushioning layer than a typical lightweight face lotion. If you have oily or combination skin, you may find it too rich for daily facial use in warm weather, but it works well on the face during autumn and winter when indoor heating and cold air increase transepidermal water loss. For the body, it's well suited to areas that tend to get rough or tight — elbows, knees, lower legs, hands — and after showering when the skin is still slightly damp. If you're trying it on the face for the first time, apply a pea-sized amount to clean skin in the evening and observe how it feels by morning; some people prefer to reserve richer creams for nighttime facial routines and use a lighter fluid during the day.
