Can I use Lastekreem 0+ on a newborn’s face and body?

Lastekreem 0+ is described as a gentle children’s cream for newborns, suitable from the first days of life. It may be applied to clean, slightly damp skin on the face, body and limbs, for example after bathing or on small rough-feeling areas such as cheeks, elbows or knees. Its light texture is designed to absorb quickly without a sticky finish, which is helpful when dressing a baby soon after application.

Use a small amount and spread it gently rather than rubbing strongly. For the face, avoid applying too close to the eyes, mouth or nostrils. After a bath, pat the skin so it remains slightly damp, then apply the cream to help the skin feel more comfortable and less tight.

The product is not recommended for nappy-area redness. That area is exposed to moisture and friction, so it often needs a different type of barrier care and closer monitoring. If your baby has known allergies, very reactive or atopic-prone skin, check the full ingredient list on the package before first use and try a small amount on a limited area, observing the skin over 24 hours.

If redness, rash, oozing areas or discomfort persist, ask a pediatrician or dermatologist rather than relying on a cosmetic cream alone.
