This cream is suitable to use before makeup because it is described as light and fast-absorbing. Its purpose is to add hydration and softness without overloading normal or combination skin, which is helpful when you want a smoother-feeling base before applying makeup.
The hydrating ingredients, including hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, aloe vera juice, glycerin, and betaine, help the skin feel more comfortable and less tight. The emollient ingredients, such as shea butter and plant oils, add softness and help reduce moisture loss, but the product is positioned as a lighter day cream rather than a heavy rich cream.
For use under makeup, apply a thin layer and wait until it has absorbed before moving on. If makeup tends to slide on your skin, use less product on the forehead, nose, and chin. If foundation clings to drier areas, apply a little extra only on those zones and let it settle before makeup.
This cream does not replace sunscreen. In a daytime routine, apply sunscreen after the moisturiser and before makeup if you are going outdoors or exposed to daylight. Avoid applying the cream too close to the eyes, especially if your eye area is easily irritated.
