Can I use it on sensitive skin, given that it contains citrus extracts?

The formula contains two citrus components — grapefruit peel extract and bitter orange peel extract — plus a pronounced citrus scent. As with any cosmetic containing citrus extracts, it is worth being cautious if you know you are sensitive to grapefruit or other citrus ingredients, whether in cosmetics or in fragrance.

If your skin is reactive, do a standard patch test before full use: apply a small amount to the inner forearm or behind the ear, and watch the area for 24–48 hours. If there is no redness, itching or stinging, the product is very likely fine for regular use on the body. If any reaction appears, stop using it — no lotion is worth ongoing irritation.

Two additional common-sense precautions:

  • Do not apply it to broken, freshly shaved or irritated skin, where any scented product with plant extracts is more likely to sting. After shaving or waxing, waiting a few hours before applying a citrus lotion is a reasonable habit.
  • Keep it away from the eye area and mucous membranes; it is intended for external body use only.

If you have a diagnosed skin condition or a history of contact allergies, checking with a dermatologist before adding new scented body products is a sensible one-time step.
