Greater celandine (Chelidonium majus) is a traditionally used but potent plant; its extract contains natural alkaloids and organic acids that can be irritating for some people, especially on already compromised skin.
Before first use, apply a pea-sized amount to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours. If redness, itching, burning, or swelling appears, do not use the product on larger areas.
Strictly avoid: open cuts, abrasions, cracked skin that is bleeding or weeping, mucous membranes (genital, anal, nasal, oral areas), and the immediate eye contour. The balm is not formulated for those tissues.
If you have a known allergy to plants in the Papaveraceae family (poppy family), exercise extra caution or skip this product.
This is a cosmetic, not a medicated treatment. It does not replace medical care for diagnosed skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, or infections. If the area is painful, spreading, hot to the touch, or not improving after reasonable cosmetic care, see a dermatologist or GP.
