Can I use DR.RETTER Tea Tree Oil directly on my face for oily or blemish-prone skin?

"DR.RETTER" Teepuu eeterlik õli 10 ml
Question about the product "DR.RETTER" Teepuu eeterlik õli 10 ml €3.63 Go to product

Tea tree oil is frequently selected for oily or blemish-prone skin because its main aromatic compound, terpinen-4-ol, gives it a clarifying character that can make a cosmetic formula feel fresher and lighter. However, DR.RETTER Tea Tree Essential Oil is a concentrated product and, like all essential oils, is not intended for direct (neat) application to large skin areas, including the face.

To use it safely and effectively, you should dilute a few drops in a suitable base or carrier oil, such as jojoba or grapeseed oil, or mix it into your regular unscented facial lotion, cream, or gel. A typical guideline for facial use is a 1% dilution (about 1 drop of essential oil per teaspoon of carrier product). This allows you to incorporate its properties into your routine without risking irritation. Always perform a patch test on a small area of your inner arm 24 hours before using a new blend on your face, especially if you have sensitive or reactive skin. Avoid the delicate eye area entirely. Remember, cosmetics are for skin care and comfort; they are not intended to treat medical skin conditions.
