Can I fry or cook with this flaxseed oil?

It is best not to fry, sauté, roast, or bake with ORIGINAL ALTAY flaxseed oil. The product is valued for its naturally occurring polyunsaturated fatty acids, including omega-3 and omega-6, and these fats are sensitive to higher temperatures. Heating can change the oil’s structure and also affect the flavour.

For hot meals, prepare the dish with an oil that is suitable for cooking, then add flaxseed oil once the food is finished. It can be stirred into cooked porridge after it is off the heat, drizzled over vegetables after serving, or mixed into a cold dressing for grains, salads, or cottage cheese.

If you want one simple rule: keep this oil away from direct heat and use it as a finishing oil. That approach lets you use it for its intended purpose while still keeping other kitchen oils for frying or baking.
