Sensitive skin can use these pads, but with caution. The vitamin C derivative used here, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, is considered gentler and more stable than some other forms of vitamin C, and is often better tolerated by sensitive skin. However, the product still contains A.H.A. acids, which are exfoliating by nature, so the way you introduce it matters more than the formula alone.
Start by using one pad once a week in the evening. Watch for redness, stinging, or tightness. If your skin tolerates it, you can gradually increase to two or three times a week. Do a small patch test on your jawline or behind the ear before the first full use. Do not use the pads on irritated, sunburned, or broken skin, and keep them away from the eye area.
If you already use strong retinoids, prescription exfoliants, or other intense acid products, do not use the pads on the same evening. Alternate nights instead. During the day, apply a sunscreen with adequate SPF, because exfoliating acids can increase sun sensitivity. If you have a skin condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medication, ask a specialist before adding this product to your routine.
