Badyaga (spongilla) is a freshwater sponge found in the rivers and lakes of Russia and Europe; its dried and powdered siliceous skeleton has been used in traditional cosmetics for centuries. The micro-spicules of the spongilla skeleton create a controlled micro-abrasive effect on the skin surface when applied, which stimulates local circulation and cell turnover and is associated with a gradual improvement in the appearance of skin irregularities. The Forte formula provides an intensive cosmetic course for the care of the appearance of stretch marks, post-acne marks, hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores and superficial scarring over a treatment course of 3–4 months.
