The oil helps seal in the moisture from the previous step and improves glide without leaving a greasy film. You can also mix a drop into your regular moisturizer to enrich its texture, or use the oil alone as the final step in your evening routine when the skin feels depleted after acids, retinoids, wind exposure, or hard water. For the eye contour, use a single drop and pat gently, keeping it away from the lash line. Store the bottle in a cool, dark place and close the cap tightly after each use to preserve the fatty acid profile.

Evening primrose oil is often chosen for sensitive skin because it contains linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), two lipids that are naturally present in the skin’s barrier and help reduce the rough, tight feeling that follows barrier disruption. However, pure oils can be occlusive: if your skin is prone to clogged pores or comedones, a generous layer may feel too heavy and could contribute to congestion.
