Medikomed Cinnamon Essential Oil is a pure, naturally derived essential oil obtained from the bark of the true cinnamon tree (Cinnamomum verum), also known as Ceylon cinnamon or "true" cinnamon. The warm, sweet, richly spiced and distinctively aromatic character of cinnamon essential oil is one of the most recognisable and widely used scents in aromatherapy and fragrance applications. The oil has been used throughout history for both its distinctive aroma and its traditional uses as a warming, stimulating, and invigorating aromatic ingredient.
In aromatherapy, cinnamon bark oil is prized for its warming, energising, and uplifting scent quality — it is considered a spicy, warming aromatic with a complex character that combines sweetness with pungency. The oil is highly concentrated and must always be heavily diluted before any skin contact, as cinnamon bark oil is one of the most potent known dermal sensitisers and can cause severe skin irritation if applied undiluted. INGREDIENTS (INCI): Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Bark Oil.
USE: Aroma diffuser: 1 drop. For blending with other oils or cosmetic bases: use at 0.05–0.1% maximum concentration for leave-on skin products (i.e., 1 drop per 10 ml carrier). Do not use in baths without heavy dilution in a carrier oil first.
WARNINGS: IMPORTANT — Cinnamon bark essential oil is a potent skin sensitiser. Do NOT apply undiluted to skin. Do NOT exceed recommended dilution concentrations. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Perform a skin sensitivity test before any skin application. Not recommended for use on children or during pregnancy. Keep out of reach of children. Not for internal use.
