Medikomed Avocado Oil is a cosmetic plant oil pressed from the flesh of the avocado fruit (Persea americana, also known as Persea gratissima). Avocado oil is one of the richest and most nourishing of all cosmetic plant oils, notable for its high content of oleic acid (omega-9), palmitic acid, and a range of fat-soluble vitamins including tocopherols (vitamin E), beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A), and lecithin. This combination of fatty acids and bioactive lipid components gives avocado oil an exceptionally nourishing, regenerating, and skin-conditioning character that sets it apart from lighter carrier oils.
The oil has an unusually fine and smooth consistency despite its richness, and is particularly well suited for daily care of dry, flaking, and mature skin. USE: Apply a few drops to clean skin and distribute with gentle massaging movements. Can be used on face, body, and hair. Suitable as a carrier oil for essential oil blends: add 1–2 drops of essential oil per 5 ml avocado oil. For massage: use 2–3 drops per application.
WARNINGS: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Perform a skin sensitivity test before first use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children.
