Apotek's Burdock Hair Mask with Ceramides for Volume is a cosmetic deep-conditioning hair mask formulated with burdock root (Arctium lappa) decoction as the base, enriched with a ceramide complex. Ceramides are sphingolipid molecules that form a key structural component of the hair fibre's cuticle layer — they fill micro-gaps and fissures in the cuticle, helping to strengthen the hair shaft, reduce brittleness and breakage, and increase hair volume and body. The formula is further complemented with a balanced vitamin complex and jojoba oil (Simmondsia chinensis) — a natural liquid wax ester with exceptional hair-compatibility, providing smoothness and conditioning without weighing the hair down. Burdock root extract has a long history in Eastern European hair care cosmetics for its scalp-conditioning properties. Regular use helps to improve hair strength along the full length, reduce brittleness and add visible volume.
