An emulsion is a format between a cream and a gel: it is lighter and more fluid than a classic cream, so it spreads over the skin without extra friction and leaves no film-like feeling. This is exactly what makes it convenient for massage: the product provides the right glide without being too greasy or heavy.
It is best to apply the emulsion to slightly damp skin straight after a shower or bath: at that moment the skin takes up the moisturising ingredients better, and the product spreads particularly evenly. A small amount is enough: the emulsion spreads easily, so consumption is economical.
