Luchiks (Akulja Sila) Shark Fat and Chili Pepper Warming Body Cream is a cosmetic warming cream from the Luchiks range, formulated with shark liver oil (squalene-rich shark fat) and chili pepper extract as the two primary warming actives for topical application to the neck and shoulder area. Shark liver oil is rich in squalene, alkoxyglycerols and polyunsaturated fatty acids, and is traditionally used in cosmetics for its skin-nourishing and conditioning properties. Chili pepper extract contains capsaicin, an alkaloid that acts as a warming counter-irritant, stimulating warmth receptors on the skin surface to produce a characteristically warm, localised sensation. USE: Apply a small amount of the cream to the neck, shoulder or target area. Massage in circular movements until fully absorbed. Use 2–3 times per day.
WARNINGS: For external use only. Contains capsaicin (chili pepper extract) — may cause a warming/burning sensation; test on a small area before first use. Do not apply to broken, irritated or damaged skin. Do not apply near eyes or on the face. Wash hands immediately and thoroughly after use — do not touch eyes before handwashing. The shark liver oil in the base is there to improve glide, so the cream works well as a massage medium: you can continue massaging the zone for a few minutes rather than just rubbing it in and stopping.
This is positioned as a warming cream rather than a light moisturiser, so expect a distinct, noticeable heat. The sensation comes from chili pepper extract, a source of capsaicin, which interacts with heat-sensitive receptors in the skin — the area feels warmer soon after application, and the feeling usually builds for a while before gradually fading. How intense it feels varies a lot from person to person and even between body zones: skin on the neck is typically more reactive than skin on the shoulders or back.
The two headline components have clearly separated roles in the formula.
Because this is a fairly intensive capsaicin-based product, it is not the right choice for every situation.
