What the product is
Planeta Zdorovia Rosehip Oil 100 ml is an edible rosehip oil for people who want to enrich their diet with plant lipids and antioxidant compounds. Rosehip has a long tradition of use in food and herbal practice, and it is especially valued for its naturally occurring carotenoids, vitamin E and polyunsaturated fatty acids. This type of oil is often chosen when the menu feels low in varied plant oils or when someone wants a gentler, nutrient‑rich addition to salads, cold dishes or seasonal nutrition.
Key components
The main value of rosehip oil lies in its fatty acid profile. Linoleic acid and Linolenic acid belong to polyunsaturated fats that help build cell membranes and take part in many regulatory processes in the body. In plain language, these fats act as structural material that the body uses where flexibility and resilience are needed. The oil also contains carotenoids, plant pigments that the body can use as provitamin A, along with vitamin E, a well‑known antioxidant. Antioxidants help protect fats and cells from oxidative stress caused by free radicals, which is one reason rosehip remains a respected ingredient in healthy food products.
- Linoleic acid and Linolenic acid – polyunsaturated fats that support cell membrane structure.
- Carotenoids – provitamin A pigments.
- Vitamin E – antioxidant that protects fats and cells.
How to use it
This edible oil may suit adults who like functional foods and prefer to add nutrients through meals rather than capsules. It fits well into a balanced eating pattern: for example, as part of a light breakfast, mixed into a vegetable dish, or used in periods when the diet lacks variety. Because this is a concentrated oil product, it is sensible to use it as part of a measured intake and not as a replacement for a diverse menu.
- Add a measured amount to salads, cold dishes or seasonal meals.
- Mix into vegetable dishes or use during periods of limited dietary variety.
Important considerations
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, following a medically supervised diet, or have digestive sensitivity to oils, it is wise to check first whether this product is suitable for you. This product is a concentrated oil, so use it in moderation and not as a substitute for a varied diet.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding – consult before use.
- Medically supervised diet – consult before use.
- Digestive sensitivity to oils – consult before use.

Customer Questions
Rosehip oil is meant to be added to dishes after they are cooked or ready — it is not a heating or baking oil. The polyunsaturated fatty acids in it (linoleic and linolenic acids) are sensitive to heat, so cooking with it would change its character and reduce the value you get from it. Treat it like a finishing oil: drizzle a small amount over a salad, stir it into a vegetable dish just before serving, or mix it into a cold sauce.
The value is in the composition. Rosehip oil contains linoleic acid and linolenic acid — both are polyunsaturated fats. In plain terms, these fats are structural material that the body uses to build cell membranes and take part in regulatory processes. They are not the same as the monounsaturated fats in olive oil or the saturated fats in coconut oil, so adding rosehip oil to your menu gives a different fatty acid profile.
Oils with a high share of polyunsaturated fats are more prone to oxidation than oils that are mostly monounsaturated or saturated. Oxidation happens when the oil is exposed to light, heat, or air, and it changes the taste and smell. The main storage rules are simple: keep the bottle in a cool, dark place — a kitchen cabinet away from the stove works well — close the cap tightly after each use, and do not leave it in direct sunlight.
This is a concentrated oil product, so it is meant to be used in small amounts as part of a meal, not as a drink or a large daily dose. The source notes that if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, following a medically supervised diet, or have digestive sensitivity to oils, it is wise to check with a specialist before using it. That is a general precaution for any oil product, not a sign that the product is risky.
