Chyawanprash contains a powerful antioxidant complex and natural vitamins, consists only of natural ingredients, helps strengthen the body, and reduces the risk of viral and colds. For centuries in India, Chyawanprash has been called the "Elixir of Life," considering it the primary Ayurvedic panacea due to its numerous healing properties listed below.
In the 6th century, Ayurvedic physician Vagbhata Muni wrote about this miraculous elixir:
"By consuming this elixir, the aging sage Chyawan became desirable to his beloved woman. Chyawanprash cures cough, shortness of breath, fever, infertility, heart diseases, gout, urinary disorders, and speech impairments. It helps children grow, strengthens the elderly, the wounded, and the exhausted. When taken properly, it sharpens the mind and memory, grants health and longevity, supports digestion, ignites sensory fire, and gives strength to the body" ("Ashtanga Hridaya Samhita," 6.39.33-41).
Usage instructions:
Traditionally, Chyawanprash is taken 15–20 minutes before meals with water, green tea, or milk. It should be consumed slowly, holding it in the mouth for 5–10 seconds. Adults should take 1/2 to 2 teaspoons twice a day (morning and evening) in cases of vitamin and mineral deficiencies, stress, fatigue, or for general immune support, especially during recovery periods. Children (from 4 years old): 1/4 to 1 teaspoon twice a day, mixed with milk or any other liquid. Elderly individuals are recommended to take 1/3 teaspoon 2–3 times a day. People with cardiovascular and nervous system conditions should start with 1/3 teaspoon in the morning for 10 days, then add an afternoon dose for 10 days, and only after that transition to three times a day. For chronic diseases and severe infections, take 1 teaspoon three times a day. For chronic stomach ulcers, high-acidity gastritis (during remission), central nervous system diseases, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders, the elixir should be taken 30–40 minutes after meals. The recommended course is 3 months (1–2 jars) if using Chyawanprash for the first time. Elderly people are advised to repeat at least two courses per year. Should be avoided during acute illnesses, exacerbation of kidney and gastrointestinal diseases, and individual intolerance.
During pregnancy, Chyawanprash should be taken with standard precautions.
