Black seed oil (or black cumin, Nigella Sativa) is used to improve nutrition in cosmetics and traditional medicine.

Quantity

Black seed oil (or black cumin, Nigella Sativa) is used to improve nutrition in cosmetics and traditional medicine.

Bitter, spicy, with a slightly caraway flavor. Used to enrich the diet (about 1 teaspoon per day). Used in cosmetics for the care of sensitive, irritated, itchy, dry, cracked, flaky skin.

Black cumin is a legendary oriental herb used to treat a variety of ailments. The history of the healing properties of black grain oil goes back centuries. Queen Nefertiti of Egypt knew about the amazing effect of this oil on the skin and used it to preserve her beauty and youth.

The famous archaeologist Lord Carter discovered an unknown black oil in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamen. It was later revealed that it was "black cumin oil". This find suggests that the ancient Egyptians knew about black grains and used them 3,000 years ago. The discovery of this oil among the buried property of the king undoubtedly indicates its importance at that time.

Nigella sativa has almost ten names. Kalonji is a Hindi language, Habbat al-baraka - literally "blessed seed" - Arabic, as well as flowering fennel (black cumin), blackcurrant (nutmeg flower), Italian coriander (Roman coriander), black sesame. In America they are called nigella. Apparently, this name was brought by Russian emigrants. And that's not all. Obviously, many names cause confusion.

The Nigella plant itself has nothing to do with sesame, fennel, cumin, or even onions. The most common name - black cumin nigel - due to the similarity of the leaves (thin, carved, like fennel) and the shape and color of the seeds: they are small, black, pungent taste. Seeds are a very popular spice in the East, and in the Arab world they are also a medicine about which it is written in the Koran: "Black cumin is a cure for all diseases except death." And if in European folk medicine black grain is given a relatively modest place - it is used for gastric ailments and as a remedy for bile, then in the East black cumin seed oil is used for almost all ailments.

Black cumin grows in the Mediterranean, North Africa, Morocco, Asia and the Arabian Peninsula.

Usage:

For internal use:

Take 1 teaspoon morning and evening 15 minutes before meals. The dose for children is half the dose for adults. Drink half a glass of water in which you can put a spoonful of honey. Used in combination with honey or natural juice, it enhances the healing properties of black seed oil.

External:

Black Seed Oil is excellent for skin infections, dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis, as well as burns, wounds, and sunburn. It is used in cosmetics for its soothing, regenerating, tonic and anti-inflammatory properties. Black grain oil is especially recommended for dry, sensitive and irritated skin. Apply black grain oil to the affected areas of the skin of the body. Regularly lubricate the nasal mucosa.

For eczema: wipe the affected areas 3 times a day.

For rheumatitis: warm black grain oil is intensively rubbed on sore joints.

Precautions: Do not use orally during pregnancy and lactation, only externally. Contraindicated in patients after organ transplantation (liver, kidney, heart), as it increases the body's immunity, which can lead to organ rejection.
